Mexico Clean Economy 2050 is a cross-campus effort of the Precourt Institute for Energy

Resource Nexus

Main content start

MCE2050 is committed to studying the connections between energy, water, air, and land-use systems for the efficient use of resources and more robust integrated management for sustainability.

As Mexico, and the Monterrey metropolitan area, in particular, continues to grow and retain its place as a hub for industrial activity, special emphasis will be placed on the development of clean commercial practices. Given the State of Nuevo Leon's proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border, efforts to develop and maintain a sustainable clean economy will need to be collaborative and binational.

Past work with Stanford's Bill Lane Center for the American West will contribute to and inform the MCE2050's research. Find more information on past work at the Lane Center website here.
