Next Generation Energy Systems
Our energy systems have to undergo a radical transformation in order to deliver a zero-carbon future in an affordable, reliable and sustainable manner. Our group focuses on bridging Stanford’s cutting edge research in energy system innovation with emerging field applications in the real-world context of Mexico’s transforming energy system, while also fostering dialogue on novel policy systems to support this transformation.
Flagship Project: Beyond Smart Transformers
Together with the Precourt Institute for Energy's Bits and Watts initiative and the EV50 project, MCE2050 is supporting academia-industry research collaborations exploring the role transformers will play in next generation energy systems in North America.
The Beyond Smart Transformers project was supported by Prolec and Prolec Labs
